With a career spanning over two decades in civil engineering and construction, I have cultivated a diverse and impactful portfolio of work. My journey in this field began in 1999, following the devastating September earthquake in Taiwan, where I was deeply involved in the earthquake investigation efforts. This foundational experience set the stage for my subsequent role in the ambitious Taiwan High Speed Rail project. Here, I dedicated myself to the design and construction aspects of this iconic infrastructure, covering more than 200 miles. Building on this experience, I founded my own consulting firm, Design House, focusing on innovative engineering solutions. In 2016, I expanded my entrepreneurial ventures by establishing my construction company, which I continue to lead as of 2023. My professional credentials include being a registered Professional Civil Engineering Engineer, an International Engineer, and an APEC Engineer, underscoring my commitment to excellence and global standards in the field. In 2020, I embarked on a pioneering journey into advanced carbon storage, particularly in the realm of carbon capture and storage (CCS). My work involves the integration of 3DCP technology in artificial reef constructions, aimed at effective CO2 storage. This venture represents my commitment to environmental sustainability and innovative applications in engineering. Moreover, as a lead forensic engineer, I have been responsible for the intricate investigation of a structural failure in a multi-story building. This role demanded a high level of expertise in coordinating a team of specialists, conducting meticulous site analyses, and employing advanced simulation tools to reconstruct the failure event. My responsibilities also extended to collaborating with legal teams, ensuring comprehensive and accurate presentation of technical findings in legal settings. Through my diverse experiences and continuous professional development, I remain dedicated to contributing innovative solutions to the field of civil engineering and construction, with a keen focus on sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
