Am a female graduate of Social work and Social administration from Makerere University and hold a Masters degree in disasters, adaptation and development from King’s College London. A great section of my MA dealt with disaster management of all forms especially in the plight of war and natural hazards focusing on rebuilding livelihoods and reconstructing communities. It has equipped me further with skills for managing emergencies. I have systematically built 11 years working experience with international humanitarian organisations in Uganda, South Sudan and UK in projects that program for GBV in emergency and conflict situations. I have particularly spearheaded and led GBV advocacy, planning, and implementation through developing tools for dissemination as well as conduct training workshops for GBV management for example while working with Across (UNHCR major implementing partner, Lasu Refugee Response).
