I am a seasoned financial services products design, implementation and management expert with over 15 years working experience in the Banking and Development sectors. I have leveraged my strong analytical skills and understanding of global markets, especially Africa, to develop and roll out innovative products to low income mass markets across Africa and the United Kingdom. I championed major policy changes in Nigeria – being at the fore-front of major public-private partnerships discussions to ensure an enabling environment for the delivery of viable (accessible, affordable, easy-to-use) products and services for the mass market, leveraging digital innovation. In 2017, I led the advocacy initiatives in the Nigerian mobile financial services industry that led to the approval for active participation of telecommunications companies to provide mobile wallets services – Payments Service Banks initiative. In my previous role as digital banking products manager at United Bank for Africa Plc., I designed, implemented and managed the bank’s flagship transaction banking and trades product - ‘U-Direct Corporate’, a holistic corporate digital banking platform with liquidity management, payments and collections, and financial supply chain for UBA Nigeria and its 18 affiliate countries in record time of 10 months and below budget. I leveraged this platform to drive intensive transaction growth across ePayments and eCollections channels, with an annual revenue of over N8bn, a 45% increase that led to my recognition award as the most outstanding employee in the entire digital banking division in 2014.
