I am a passionate and experienced practitioner in the dynamic field of food security focusing on food safety and nutrition capacity strengthening in low- and middle income countries of Asia-Pacific. Working in the international development space as a senior technical consultant and project manager since 2005, I have provided sound guidance and technical support to national Government counterparts (Ministries of Public Health, Education, Agriculture), Civil Society Organizations, grass-roots women's organizations, local NGOs to jointly work towards practical and sustainable solutions to improve food insecurity, especially among vulnerable women, children, smallholder farmers and the informal food sectors. I have significant experience working with UN Agencies WHO, FAO and WFP on donor funded food safety and nutrition capacity strengthening projects in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. I am highly skilled in translating food safety and nutrition policy into practice; leading multi-disciplinary country level teams to deliver sustainable outcomes on food security projects; and developing food safety and nutrition behavioural interventions (Social and Behaviour Change) using evidence-based good practice behavioural science approaches. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Further (Adult) Education and skilled in using participatory methods for adult learning. I am an effective communicator, writer, mentor, lecturer, teacher and personal coach.
