Summary

Galamo is an international development expert (30 years working experience in West, Central and East African countries ) with specialized skills across many sectors including program/project management, Environment, natural resources management, food security, agriculture, rural development, social, economy, capacity building, international development, market chain development, saving credit services, governance and basic services. He leaded SNV’s , JICA and BD’s or Global Affairs Canada GAC Programs in Cameroon, Niger, Burkina, DR Congo and WCA funded by DGIS, MCC, EU, DFID, AfDB, MCC and USAID. He provided technical leadership and financial oversight while monitoring complex programs to ensure timely delivery of program objectives. The programs included livelihood and basic services components (Agriculture, Food security, WASH, Renewable Energies, Health and Capacity building) targeting more than 10million persons (women and child focus). He oversees a budget of $50 million yearly for five years programs, managing more than 180 staffs. He has overseen successful emergency, advisory services and investments operations in WCA. He established successful partnerships with local government officials, CSO, INGO and key development donors. He implemented USAID-funded programs in Cameroon and DR Congo to develop governance barometers, health project, MDG localization tools to increase people’s access to basic services. As Country Director, Senior Program Manager for Cowater/CECI international, Cuso International,JICA and AfDB programs, he acquired overall responsibility for leading teams, implementing and administrating more than 75 $ million for funded projects yearly. He also coordinated a multi-sector program funded by AfDB covered 7 countries of West, Central and East Africa including grants and livelihoods projects including management of 250 staff members, coordinated partnerships, networking, communications with donors, training and leadership, and security management as well as suitable monitoring-evaluation systems.
