
Georges Alfred Ki-Zerbo is the former head of the World Health Organization missions to Iraq, former Director of the WHO Office to the African Union and UN Economic Commission for Africa. He also headed WHO’s missions to Guinea, Chad and Equatorial Guinea and served as its Coordinator for Central Africa and leader of the Communicable diseases area of work. He acted with appreciation as United Nations Resident Coordinator in Guinea between 2018 and 2020. He is an emeritus lecturer in infectious disease at the University of Ouagadougou School of Medicine in Burkina Faso. Georges received his medical training at the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal and his Master of Public Health at the University of Michigan as a Hubert Humphrey Fulbright Fellow.
