I have over (30) years’ experience in the procurement profession and borders on both the public and Private Sector. My exposure demonstrates that I have worked under different business operating environments ranging from mining to investments demanding agile management style that adapt accordingly and meet the challenges of the digital business world. In particular, I possess 19 years professional experience of supervising complex and challenging field operations such as projects encompassing finance, business, investment, corporate governance or rural development fields. My key strengths that would support my success in this position include: • I have successfully managed the supply chain under the ZCCM Ltd as well as the ZCCM-IH operations with total compliance to the law and its procedures. • I successfully sustained the operations of the mine organisations with un-interrupted supply of consumables, spares and equipment with a strategy of maintaining optimum stocks and managed the inventory efficiently and effectively. • As a team, in particular my role as head of the Procurement Department, under the Copperbelt Environmental Project (CEP), I successfully contracted Suppliers, Consultants and Contractors that assisted the project in mitigating ZCCM Ltd Environmental Liabilities following its privatization. • I successfully undertook site visits in various areas of the project in Lusaka, Kabwe and the Copperbelt prior to contract award to ensure all aspects/activities were captured in the scope of work/assignment to be undertaken by Suppliers, Consultants and Contractors to be contracted for their quality, timely and cost effective implementation. • I participated in the process to resettle and adequately compensate all the Project Affected People (PAPs) that resided within the proximity of mining licensed areas and had their houses cracking due to mining activities who had to re-locate to safer designations identified and approved by the local authorities. • The implementation of project activities involved the interaction with both the Government Senior Officials and local government Officials through the appointed Steering Committee (SC). • My role contributed to the submission of quality data into the report demanded by the World Bank Mission headed by the Project Group Leader. • I provide exceptional contributions to customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. • I have successfully executed my dusty as a Secretary to the ZCCM-IH Procurement Committee since 2003 as required by law.
