Herbert Paul Kirunda

I have extensive experience as a Senior-level Management professional, along with my 20+ years of expertise in the international development sector, with 13 years of experience in managing complex multicultural programs in women economic empowerment, gender, youth engagement, access to finance, and agricultural value chains, aiming at transforming rural communities through on-the-ground market-based solutions to poverty. Having worked at TechnoServe Inc., in Uganda from 2008 - 2017, in several managerial positions, up to Country Director, I led an overall implementation of 16 programs in 33 districts in Uganda across Northern, Eastern, Central, and Western regions. Moreover, I collaborated with over 1,100 producer organizations, reaching out to 150,000 households (farmers) in 12 agricultural value chains, 51 agribusinesses, and nearly 3,000 female entrepreneurs and 8,300 youth.
