I often encounter ambiguity, which I enjoy turning inside out. I find myself working between technology and strategy (using machine learning for research discoverability and enterprise search), research on finance (noise, financial inclusion), and workplace innovation (particularly skills and training). I find these areas cross over in surprising and useful ways. Nearly always, training can cure a multitude of ills, and is too often neglected in discussions of innovation and productivity. Innovation to me is knowing the right moment to collaborate, and the right moment to compete. I enjoy working out ways that technology can help organisations to (re)discover what they do well.
I have produced original research for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), European Commission and peer-reviewed journals. My expertise is in varied aspects of finance, including mobile money and financial inclusion, small+medium sized firms macroeconomics and central banking.
