Dr. Aqel has a distinct background in management and leadership with 25 years of experience in human rights-based protection approaches, healthcare management, research, sexual reproductive health and rights SRHR and sexual gender-based violence SGBV, education management, youth empowerment, and economic empowerment. Dr. Aqel has been contributing to several national and regional projects led by U.N. agencies, USAID, DFID, and INGOs.
