Summary

Innocent Bikara is a Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist with a joint appointment at the International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management (ICLARM/WorldFish) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), and is based in Bangladesh. Innocent holds a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics (CMAAE) of Makerere University-Uganda (and partly: University of Pretoria (UP)- South Africa ), a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation (PGDME) of Uganda Management Institute (UMI) and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry of Makerere University-Uganda. He has 7.5 years of experience in research, planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning. Innocent has worked in M&E units of three reputable global agricultural development and research institutions, with roles designed to coordinate and strengthen institutional M&E frameworks and ensure that country-level and project-level M&E work conform to the institutional M&E frameworks, CGIAR Standards and global best practices. Innocent is results-driven, objective, articulate and bold- virtues that have enabled him make significant input for the advancement of M&E frameworks and approaches across three Centers of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) institutions. Innocent likes working with project teams to streamline their plans/ results to institutional results frameworks and global development agenda and facilitating the systematic measurement of results. I am adept in quantitative data analysis including statistical descriptive analyses and advanced econometric analyses using longitudinal and time series data. I am proficient in the use of mobile data collection tools (ODK, CSPro/CSEntry, KoboToolbox/KoboCollect), STATA and SPSS for data analysis and Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization. I am skilled in the use of the Microsoft office package (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, To-Do), teleconferencing (using Skype, Skype for business, blue jeans, Microsoft Teams), geospatial analysis software (QGIS) among others. I have a passion for making presentations that appeal to non-technical audiences, through the use of illustrations and less text.
