Innocent Chukwu

Innocent Chukwu is Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment and Management Information System (MIS) Specialist with over eleven (11) years’ experience in design, development, training and administration of M&E and Learning systems including the innovative survey systems and instruments currently being used in USAID NEI Plus project in Nigeria. He can create and enforce innovative cloud-based data collection and processing tools, protocols, and procedures including reference guides. Innocent worked with PYXERA Global in Nigeria as a consultant where he supported the world Bank funded Nigeria Joint Initiative for Village Advancement JIVA pre-design team to conduct participatory community assessment and designed data collection tools for education and agriculture baseline survey. He developed and validated evaluation items for the external evaluation of DFID funded GEC - ENGINE II and Discovery II Projects in Nigeria. In NEI Plus project, Innocent worked as Assessment Specialist with Education Development Center (EDC). In this capacity, he provided leadership with development of all cloud-based data collection instruments used during the baseline and midline surveys. He provided innovative processing and analysis of all data for immediate preliminary results. In addition, he provided leadership in translation and adaptation of data collection tools to other local Nigerian languages and worked in close collaboration with senior M&E specialist to pilot Local Education Monitoring Approach (LEMA) in Nigeria. Within these periods, he has acted as Senior M&E specialist where he supervised all M&E task relating to the project. In this capacity, he conducted M&E capacity evaluations of sub-grantees and provided training workshops based on the evaluation outcomes. He is proficient in numerous data science and technologies as listed in his profile. Innocent is experience in Knowledge Management as he designs and develops training manuals and facilitates CLA workshops on various topics to project staff, communities and government officials based on evaluation practices and findings. He conducts analysis of data, reports for performance progress and makes appropriate presentation for different kinds of audience. RTI International previously employed him in three different projects in Nigeria on similar job functions and he is currently back in RTI as Senior Management Information System Specialist on Effective Water Sanitation and Hygiene E-WASH project. Innocent has participated in various projects work plan development in Nigeria. He has completed various courses on M&E and he is an active standard member of American Evaluation Association.
