A native of Trinidad and Tobago and now also a Canadian that resides mostly in South Africa, I have over 25 years’ experience in tourism, hospitality, and business planning. This has been in ten developing counties on four (4) continents at the private, government, quasi-government, NGO and volunteer sector level. My extensive and varied tourism experience covers: • Facilitating the development and implementation of national tourism policies, tourism master plans, feasibility studies, business plans, and marketing and communications strategies • Restructuring, institutional strengthening and capacity building of tourism boards and NGOs • Conducting primary and secondary research and providing statistical analyses and reports • Writing community-based tourism manuals and facilitating implementation and training • Developing and facilitating the opening of new attractions and tourism products • Pricing and creating tour itineraries and packages, and promoting them to the travel trade
