Summary

Forest Engineer with a wide experience in forest management and forest inventory, community forestry and agroforestry, land-use planning as well as project design, monitoring and management. His experience has been mostly acquired in long-term projects : Guinea Bissau, Cameroon, Senegal, Gabon, Mexico. He occasionally carried out short term assignments : Cameroon, Rwanda, Burundi, Togo, Benin. Until 2004, he was involved in international development projects, especially in Africa where he lived for almost 15 years. From 2004 to 2013, as an employee of the Canadian engineering firm Aecom Consultants (formerly known as Tecsult), He was the Project Director in Mexico in the framework of the "National Forests and Soils Inventory". He was responsible for all the organizational, logistical and technical aspects of the execution of inventory projects covering large portions of the national territory and was also in charge for the recruitment of personnel and sub-contractors, operating budgets, liaising and dealing with the client (Mexican Governement). Working as a Consultant since 2014 on a part time basis, he has been assisting Aecom on administrative matters in Mexico but also works occasionally as a forestry specialist in forest certification projects or other forestry-related topics.
