Doctoral DegreeNew School University

United States

I am an academically-trained political scientist (PhD, New School '18) and historian with a focus on the socio-economic development and outcomes of hydraulic development (i.e., dams) in the United States and in the Middle East. My work has been generously supported by the US-Turkish Fulbright Commission, the American Research Institute in Turkey, for my work on the Keban Dam and the Euphrates River in Eastern Turkey. My teaching and instruction focuses on the social impact of changing rivers and riparian communities, and have worked with activists in the Delaware River basin on issues of fracking and pollution.
