Mr. Tamaki has more than 35 years’ experience in urban development. From 2001 to 2017, he worked for the Asian Development Bank on a number of urban, water supply, urban transport and tourism projects in South Asia, in particular India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. He started his career at the Osaka City Government. From 1991 to 2000, he worked for the World Bank as a member of its Indonesia urban team. Prior to joining ADB in 2001, he briefly worked for JBIC, too. He has master's degree in public administration from Harvard University, certificate in urban and regional studies from MIT, and bachelor's degree in urban engineering from University of Tokyo.
