Wild thinker, when the idea sparkles then moves from one single thought to branched. My vision for education: Education will be decoded to: General Education from k-4 focusing on mastery of literacy, numeracy and a musical instrument. Following that Multiple Literacies for the 21st century, i.e. media literacy, social/emotional literacy, arts and creativity literacy; specialized Education from grade 5-10 plus 2 years preparatory for either university or initiating their own business. University graduate and post graduate studies will be research focused/based. Education formal systems are facing a huge challenge in accommodating the modern technology as well as the new practices and uses of mobile technology and social media in our daily lives from age 5 and up. Comparing between the existing formal education systems and the higher education that are the result of the industrial revolution in the eighteenth century and the knowledge economy requirements of the 21st century, we can identify the huge gap between theory and practice in the existing formal education systems as well as their growing disability to meet knowledge economy market demands. Our good deeds should be joined to pave the way for the millennia generation to master literacy and numeracy, lifelong learning and 21st century skills. My career began as a university lecturer and educational technologist, school teacher in Ministry of Education, e-Learning Unit and Head Division at Secretary general Office. Became iEARN-Jordan Representative in 09. Led a number of hands-on training workshops for educators on iEARN and building 21st century skills through Project-based learning. Also worked as Senior Education Adviser for the World Bank and other agencies. Assessor at KACE to date. If the work I'm doing did not draw a smile on my face, then it's not for me or I don't belong to it!
