Lamax is a Water and Environmental Engineer with 13 years’ accumulated experience working in humanitarian, recovery and development contexts. A national of Uganda, Lamax holds Master of Science in Water and Waste Engineering from Loughborough University UK( Water Engineering and Development Centre), Master of Science Development Management from The Open University, UK; Master of International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid from Humanitarian Aid Institute and a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, Kymbogo University, UGA. With a wide range of experience from 10 developing countries (South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Haiti, Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam, Nigeria), he has worked with UNICEF, OXFAM, International Medical Corps, Medecins Sans Frontiers, American Refugee Committee amongst other humanitarian agencies. During this time, Lamax responded to critical WASH needs in conflicts and civil wars, IDPs and refugee camps and natural disasters such as hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, floods and drought. Similarly, he has long-term experience in the containment of highly infectious diseases including Yellow fever, Hepatitis E, Cholera, Ebola and COVID-19 He is committed to learning and knowledge exchange and research.
