Summary

Leonie is a senior governance, civic participation and monitoring & evaluation expert. Analysing and facilitating policy dialogue between state and non-state actors has been at the centre of her work for 15 years. Leonie has a wide range of experience working for many relevant stakeholders in development cooperation in Europe and Asia, among them the largest European development cooperation NGO, the German development NGO umbrella association, the German Parliament’s committee for development cooperation, moreover a capacity building NGO in Cambodia, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), international foundations and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Leonie holds a PhD in development politics from the University of Mannheim, Germany, a MA in Humanitarian Action from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands and a BA in Politics and Philosophy from the University of York, UK.
