Dr. Christina Lulu Makene
is a trained medical doctor, an epidemiologist and a biostatistician. She has extensive experience in public health issues including HIV/AIDS and has practiced clinical medicine locally and internationally. She also has a vast experience in health related project management and epidemiological studies including clinical trials.

Christina has a range of research skills including proposal development, data collection, data management, analysis and report writing. She holds a Master of Science inMedicine degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.She is interested in
genetic Diagnostics and Counseling and ARV resistance research. She has researched in Dar es Salaam on the various KAP studies on STDs and HIV,Malaria and Lymphatic filariasis.Her career interests
include, but are not limited to, working in clinical research particularly in
epidemiological studies, Bioinformatics and Public Health related research. She also takes interest in the Investigation and Control of Epidemics and workingin the combat of Epidemics of HIV and Tuberculosis at grass root, national and
international levels. Christina has a strong interpersonal skills and possessesthe ability to work under pressure and pay attention to fine details whileconsidering the big picture.
