Lynn Pikholz is founder and CEO of CapitalPlus Exchange (CapPlus), which partners with local financial institutions in emerging economies to deliver finance for social impact. By increasing financial services to small businesses, the largest creators of jobs and incomes, CapPlus creates sustainable solutions that accelerate job creation, societal benefit and equity. Under her leadership, CapPlus also established the Small Business Banking Network – the first global network for emerging economy financial institutions focused on underserved small and growing entrepreneurs, which is now part of the G-20s SME Finance Forum. Currently, Lynn is leading CapPlus’ launch of EMII - Education Markets Impact Initiative - with a view to applying our 12+ years of learnings to the education sector – more specifically to use finance to drive cost effective and sustainable improvements in learning outcomes, at the same time as transforming the affordable education finance market. Lynn Pikholz has been a key part of impact investing initiatives long before the term was coined. She has developed and led trainings, published papers and recently oversaw extensive research from 1,300 in-depth surveys from low fee school proprietors in SS Africa.
