I am currently a senior program officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI) working on 10+ programs across four country portfolios. Previously, I worked in the Center for East Asia Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution. Prior to Brookings, I was an Asia Policy Fellow in the office of U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono. I have lived and worked in China as a research intern at the International Crisis Group and a story producer for “The Amazing Race: China Rush.” I received a master’s degree in International Affairs from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at University of California, San Diego, where I co-founded the online magazine, China Focus, and served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of International Policy Studies. Originally from Chicago, my interest in China and East Asia began at Middlebury College, where I obtained a bachelor’s in Geography and Chinese.
