I currently work for UN Women Office Botswana(PP) as the National Programme Officer (Officer in Charge) since May,2016. Before that I worked for Southern African Development Community(SADC) as Head of Gender Unit For 9 years. Throughout my career, I have been involved in the design of national and regional strategies for women’s empowerment including women in Peace and Security, Women in Politics(WIP) and decision making, and Women’s Economic Empowerment Programme. I have strong knowledge of Programme formulation and implementation and Results Based Management as demonstrated by developing the Botswana UN Women Draft Strategic Note (2018-2020), and Botswana UN Joint Gender Programme (2018-2020) among others. In my previous job, I led the development the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development (2008) and the SADC Gender Mainstreaming Toolkit (2007).
