Mahmoud Musleh

Through my years of experience I have worked for many organizations and for many programs/projects serving different programmatic/technical and operational occupancies. I have extensive experience of working for international agencies such as the USAID, EU, World Bank and others; in addition to working closely with many local and public institutions.

I am a recent employee in the USAID Funded - Enhanced Palestinian Justice Program (EPJP)/Chemonics Inc., filling the position of Component Leader for Citizens’ Outreach and Grants Management. The Program is 5 years of $26 million budget.

My Experience has not only given me a thorough knowledge of management, Leadership, organizational development, and business practices, but has also taught me the importance of discipline; enthusiasm and old-fashioned hard work in attaining my goals. Through my senior years I have been able to apply my learning a ”real world” setting.

My duties have included: Managing programmatic and technical aspects, Projects’ Management, Organizational Development, Grants making & implementation (PCM), Fundraising, Monitoring & Evaluation, media & outreach, Promoting good governance, Advocacy initiatives & campaigns, Civic engagement & policy dialogue, Proposals Writing, Strategic planning & leadership, coordination & liaison with donors and partners, Training, Financial Management, Budgeting, Administration & HR management, Compliance, Reporting, Procurement & Acquisition, conducting different types of organizations assessments (PONAT, OCAT, POCAT) which I depend on in building different aspects of Programmatic, managerial and financial capacities, both of which helped strengthening my knowledge of donors’ regulations and requirements. Furthermore, I managed projects and programs utilizing advanced tools focusing on Management by Objectives, results based management, performance management, multi-dimensional analysis, quality assurance, time management…etc.

I managed to play major roles in building systems for implementing and managing projects/programs; also managed to initiate overall operational and program systems for different projects and programs of USAID, World Bank and EU funding.

It is also worth mentioning that I lead the process of preparing a CRS global tool for Compliance & performance audit/review and managing the process of reviewing the system and creating all necessary adjustments to efficiently meet such audit. Further, we successfully passed different operational and financial reviews/audits with no findings.

I believe that I have diversified experience and capacities that qualifies me for such position; 15 years of experience working for different sectors (NGOs, Civil Society, Public Reform, justice sector/Rule of Law, Civic Education, entrepreneurship, youth development, Basic and higher Educational, vocational education, Economic Development, Promoting Democracy & Good Governance, Human Rights & International Humanitarian Law, women's empowerment, municipalities and local councils). Through my senior years I managed to lead various programs and components in-terms of building reliable management systems to efficiently implement programs and monitor performance, and being responsible of overall supervision for technical and operation aspects. Further, I am acquired with the required knowledge, experience and best practices that enable me to perform my assigned tasks and beyond in an effective and efficient manner. I have developed good professional relationships with grantees/partners (CSO’s/NGO's, Human Rights Organization, Local Councils, Municipalities, Government entities, Construction of TVET Schools, Tertiary Education Institutions, Justice sector institutions, Private & Public Schools...etc.) and familiarity with their systems, further strengthened by delivering various trainings, capacity building and coaching – a very important part of donor’s capacity building initiatives.
