Mariana Cifuentes (She / Her)

Mariana Cifuentes is a governance expert and senior adviser with over 16 years of international experience working in complex programmes. Mariana is a technical and strategic thinker, specialised in youth empowerment and transitional environments. Since 2015, she has worked in Myanmar, giving her a deep empathy, and understanding of the country. Currently, Mariana is supporting the planning and design of work of MyJustice Phase III, an access to justice programme managed by the British Council and funded by the European Union. She has published numerous papers and reports in collaboration with international and multilateral organisations to shape the understanding, policy approaches, and implementation of governance practices. Mariana has worked in Southeast Asia, the Pacific and East Africa. She is passionate about working with youth to bring innovative, creative and technology driven approaches to governance.
