Marilyn Vilisoni is a Quality and Inclusion Specialist which is an equivalent to a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. She has experience in private sector development which involves partnering with businesses and engaging with the communities that interact with them.
In the last four and half years she has had experience in developing monitoring and measurement systems, conducting field research for projects in tourism, aquaculture, horticulture and agriculture in multiple value chains, and urban based processing for export markets. Prior to this, Marilyn worked for five and a half years as a Marine Scientist in a successful commercial aquaculture venture (J. Hunter Pearls Fiji Ltd). She worked extensively with the Blacklip Pearl Oyster (P. margaritifera) and three other cultured aquatic species.
She has formal academic qualification with a Masters of Science in Marine Science and has also attended multiple international conferences and local trainings on monitoring and results measurements. The trainings are conducted by certified trainers that are affiliated with the Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED).
