In my most recent role as a Consular & American Citizens Services (ACS) Officer for the U.S. State Department, I proudly represented the U.S. government at our Consulate offices in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. My work included a role as Voting Assistance Officer (VAO), where I jumpstarted our Mission Brazil voter outreach campaign during the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election. I expanded our reach through an interview with TV GloboNews and was recognized by the U.S. State Department with a Meritorious Honor Award for innovation. I also strengthened the U.S. pandemic-related response through a multi-pronged strategic approach. I actively communicated with U.S. citizens in Brazil, co-hosting a virtual town hall and 1st ever Facebook Live with 3K+ views. I provided critical crisis management leadership, analyzing 1300+ COVID-focused departmental cables, generating 40 biweekly situation reports, developing potential evacuation plans, and earning a Meritorious Honor Award for excellence.
