Ms. Adel comes with a power packed record of management in decisive executive leadership in benchmarking of economic, business/trade services and exploring capacities for multi-disciplinary organizations and start-ups. 20 of her productive years as a professional, she provided economic growth and expansion leads for private and public sector focused projects: bi-lateral trade and economic agreements, education/talent and performance management and learning, youth and women development and entrepreneurship, CSR, while monitoring change measures, cultural diversity, and monetary challenges in the MENA Region. Marwa is noted for her practical and sound management style centred on impact-driven models and strategies. She is competent in planning, executing and managing international development projects, contacts and focal points in various economic and business sectors in the MENA Region, United States, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, East Europe, Lebanon, Jordan, KSA among others. In 2009/2010, she implemented the first public sector Retail Academy in the Arab Republic of Egypt and North Africa, under the auspices of Ministry of Trade & Industry, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology and Cairo Governorate, with the vision to promote, integrate and empower SMEs and M-SMEs according to world-class retail services standards. During her professional career, Ms. Adel structured, fundraised and monitored budgets up to EGP 30 Million, while adapting to financial market adjustments and modifications. Ms. Marwa Adel earned her Master of Arts in Philosophy degree from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in December 2015 with major GPA 3.55/4.00. She was awarded University Fellowship from Spring 2014 till Fall 2015 (for two continuous years). During the 5 semesters of her graduate studies, she worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Philosophy. Furthermore, Marwa was the President of The Philosophy Club starting Fall 2014 and till the end of Fall 2015. She received her certificates of Executive Management and Women Leadership Development from AUC as well in 2005. Her undergraduate degree in Philosophy was earned in February 2003 with Dean of HUSS Honors’ from 2001 to 2003 (major GPA 3.59), besides a minor in Computer Science. Marwa held posts at Embassy of the United States in Egypt, the American University in Cairo, Cairo Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Trade & Industry. Between 2010 and 2013, she served as a panellist, mentor and judge for: Goldman Sachs Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program (WEL), Boeing Youth Program, Women Employability Skills (AMIDEAST), to mention some. Currently, she is an Advisor for International Cooperation, Management and Entrepreneurship within the MENA Region, Italy, Germany, and France with UPGRADE | Business Enablers (a competitive Egyptian management company).
