Currently serving as US State Department as Gender Justice advisor for Knowledge Management Unit. Formerly served as Gender Justice Advisor for the US State Department (formerly at the US Embassy in Kabul, now Kabul West in the USA.) Managed multi-million dollar gender portfolio for INL. Expert in conflict and post conflict countries, with 18 years of international mission experience in Afghanistan (four tours), Ukraine (two missions), Jordan, Micronesia and Kosovo (three missions) and many other countries working on human rights, including gender-based violence, human trafficking, monitoring and reporting, capacity building of ministries and other institutions and training expert. Extensive management experience having served as Chief of Party, Gender, Children and Human Rights Section Lead and Human Rights Section Lead working on highly successful legislative reform, human trafficking, domestic violence, internally displaced persons, outreach campaigns, access to justice (publications and web content), capacity building of Ministries and local institutions in close coordination with other donors, local NGOs and civil society. Award winning trainer with specialty in innovative Train the Trainer programs for judges, prosecutors, police, correction officers and others. Substantial work on building capacity of anti-terrorist institutions and anti-terrorist Judges and prosecutors. Recipient of certificates of Outstanding performance from the US Embassy and numerous national awards for training programs for judges.
