I am a Nutrition Sector Specialist with over 10 years’ experience in Nutrition Finance, Policy, Planning and Programming focusing on generating and bringing together information to improve decision making processes across the policy cycle and help governments to better develop, adapt and implement nutrition policies, plans and programmes. A few highlights include playing a lead role in carrying out in-depth Public Expenditure Reviews of finance for nutrition in Tanzania and Bangladesh funded by UNICEF and supporting the SUN Movement tracking of domestic and ODA funds to improve targeting and use of investments in multiple countries. I also have experience in broader Public Financial Management including facilitating an online course for UNICEF staff. Among other roles, I have technically led Stakeholder and Nutrition Action Mapping in 6 countries to improve nutrition planning by enabling Governments to understand the current gaps in key nutrition interventions. I have also led complementary processes to develop contextual analyses which set out the nutrition situation in a country, and audited nutrition-relevant policies and programs to understand where multi-sectoral nutrition approaches can be better integrated. Furthermore, I have experience in managing and facilitating donor funded projects including for DFID, UNICEF and the World Bank and broad experience in authoring and editing key reports.
