Rahmat is an interdisciplinary policy professional and career diplomat from Bangladesh, with six years of service experience in bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, as well as human resource management. He has received diplomatic training in Bangladesh, India, Turkiye, the Netherlands, and Belgium, which has expanded his global perspective. Beyond diplomacy, Rahmat is a microbiologist with a strong academic background and four years of research experience, including two years as a research assistant at the University of Dhaka. As a researcher, he developed a novel trivalent vaccine against the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus, addressing a significant livestock health issue in Bangladesh, and published multiple peer-reviewed scientific articles in reputed international journals. Rahmat earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Microbiology from the University of Dhaka, securing the highest grade points in each. In recognition of his academic excellence, he received the Prime Minister Gold Medal, the Dean's Award, and several Outstanding Academic Performance Awards. He is now graduating from Princeton University with a Master in Public Affairs (MPA) degree in the International Development field and a certificate in Health and Health Policy (HHP). He served as the 2024 HHP Student Representative in the Princeton University Policy Student Government.
