Summary

Michal Bodnar is a young professional who offers a unique blending of engineering (mainly IT-related) skills and greatly developed social and soft skills. At his young age, he has already had a chance to study and/or work in four different countries, including Slovakia, Czech republic, Sweden and China. This fact helped him to enhance his understanding of people of different ethnicity, race, religion and cultural background. He is currently pursuing his PhD, where he is researching about the crowdsourcing technologies for disaster management, using a combination of computer science, GIS and remote sensing. His next long-term goal is to work for international organization in the humanitarian sphere where he could apply his knowledge of the geospatial technologies. He has already made his first steps in such direction by attending various conferences/workshops related to space-based information the humanitarian action. Ultimately, he wants to become an inclusive leader working with people from various backgrounds with a goal to make a positive impact in the world.
