A physician by training with master’s in public health and over 24 years of experience leading health system strengthening & emergency response programs in Asia, Africa, and LAC with a focus on infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, Zika, COVID-19), maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition, family planning and immunization. Extensive experience in developing policies, strategies, workplans and budgets. Successfully led the design and implementation of donor funded projects as a country director or technical director. Managed more than 200 staff and consultants across 50 countries. Two decades experience of collaborating with Ministries of Health, WHO, UNICEF, Unitaid, World Bank, EU, Global Fund, CSOs, NUPs, philanthropy, private sector, and other bilateral and multilateral organizations. Extensive experience in mobilizing new resources and finding ways to make best use of available resources.
