Mohammad Sadat Sadruddin Shibli is currently the Program Director and Head for The Asia Foundation’s DMP-Youth Cooperation Series, Youth as Agents of Social Change and Promoting Tea Plantation Workers projects in Bangladesh. In this capacity, he looks after all the three projects and provides technical support to youth leaders, youth ambassadors, partners, police and other relevant stakeholders, and liaises with Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Bangladesh Police and other government agencies. Before this he worked as a Senior Program Officer for the Foundation’s Community Based Policing program, where he provided technical support to local partners, and maintained liaison with government institutions, including the Bangladesh Police, and civil society. He had also facilitated trainings for these same stakeholders on community policing. Mr. Shibli has been with the Foundation in Bangladesh since 2008, when he joined as a Program Officer for the Local Economic Governance Program. In this role he organized sub-national Public-Private Dialogues, which required strong relations and effective communication and coordination with local and national-level public and private stakeholders. His key skills include training facilitation, project design and implementation, project monitoring and evaluation, communication and awareness campaign design and implementation, participatory research methods and data collection such as focus group discussions and in-depth interviews, and organizing dialogues, seminars, and workshops.
