Summary

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and MBA in Strategic management. I have over 13 years’ experience in reproductive health and family planning; HIV&AIDS, sexual and reproductive health (SRH), maternal new-born and child health (MNCH), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), systems strengthening, human rights policy and advocacy programmes. I am currently the Technical Officer, JHPIEGO - Impact Malaria (IM) in project funded by the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) through the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI). I support the Government initiative to reduce malaria morbidity and mortality in collaboration with National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) of the Ministry of Health (MOH), County Governments and all malaria stakeholders to implement Kenya’s new malaria strategy aimed at reducing malaria morbidity and mortality in the eight counties of Bungoma, Busia, Homabay, Kakamega, Kisumu, Migori, Siaya, and Vihiga that constitute the lake-endemic epidemiological zone with the highest burden of malaria in Kenya. Former Youth Technical Advisor, Ipas Africa Alliance. Supported the development and execution of adolescent and youth-friendly reproductive health and rights strategies and services. Worked for Liverpool Health as a youth Program Coordinator. Provided leadership, coordination, strategic guidance and oversight for implementation of a comprehensive youth programme with integrated partnership building, policy advocacy, and technical support for HIV service delivery for youth, with a special focus on those at increased vulnerability such as HIV positive youth, survivors of sexual violence, girls, youth with disability and minority youth. Worked for International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP), Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health Kenya IMARISHA Program as a training coordinator. Former Advocacy Technical Officer for German Foundation for World population (DSW) (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung).Provided technical assistance in designing, implementation, monitoring, learning and evaluation of ASRH programs, and strengthening demand and supply of SRH and family planning services for adolescents As a Behaviour Change Coordinator for International Medical Corps-Kenya, I provided leadership and technical guidance to all BCC and demand creation interventions. I also supported the testing and contextualization of the User Centered HIV and ASRH Interventions to solve key health and behavior change issues targeting the most at risk population.
