Summary

Nejira is the founder and was the Director of the first microcredit project in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the initiator of microcredit specifically for women in the country. Nejira managed MI-BOSPO operation that serves more than 22,000 low-income mainly women clients and entrepreneurs through 32 offices. Over 23-years Nejira has provided vision, leadership, and operational management to build MI-BOSPO into one of the national field leaders with a portfolio of Euro 30 million. MI-BOSPO was one of the first SMART certified institutions and is an example of responsible finance and leadership. Nejira was the initiator of the NGO “Plus” – that provides debt advisory and financial education, has served on the Board of Trustees of Women’s World Banking. She has lead AMFI, national MFI Association, for two years. Nejira is a practitioner and has spoken at numerous international conferences.
