
Dr. Nicholas Alipui is a Senior Visiting Scholar and Lecturer at Yale University Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. He has also taught courses at the Yale School of Public Health and the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. He is a member of the UN Secretary General's Independent Accountability Panel for Every Woman Every Child Every Adolescent and a Board member of the 1000 Days organization. He previously served as the Director and Senior Adviser on the Post-2015 Development Agenda to the UNICEF Executive Director and as Director of Programmes at UNICEFNYHQ. He brings over 33 years of strategic and senior level experience with UNICEF to this position. Among his positions he has served as Chief of Africa Desk at Headquarters, UNICEF Representative in Kenya and the Philippines and, most recently as Director of Programmes at Headquarters. He worked as project officer in Mozambique, Somalia and Angola as part of UNICEF’s relief and emergency assistance.
