Nino Olgesashvili (She / Her)

Ms. Nino Olgesashvili has over 16 years’ experience in international development, including over a decade of administrative, financial, and operational management of USAID projects in the CIS, MENA and Southern Africa. She is currently a Director of Finance, Grants, and Admin for a $19m USAID Financial Innovation Program in Tbilisi, Georgia. And was previously a Senior Grants and Subcontracts Manager on the $42m USAID Feed the Future Malawi Agricultural Diversification Activity in Lilongwe, an acting DCOP, Operations for the $23m Feed the Future Egypt Food Security and Agribusiness Support Project. Her degrees are in Applied Economics (MA), Agribusiness Management and Marketing (BA), and Accounting (BA). Nino has expertise in USAID grants-under-contract, FAR and AIDAR compliance, financial management, budget development and realignment, MEL activities, and liaising with donors, government, and commercial stakeholders. Her technical experience includes rural economic development, organizational capacity development in agribusiness marketing, financial management, extension services, and cold chain development. She previously managed an HQ portfolio of over $50 million for CNFA, including grants-under-contract portfolio of $12 million. She acted as Director for the Georgian Center for Agribusiness Development Fund in Tbilisi, managed the business development efforts of Policy Management Consulting Group in DC, and supported various projects as a capacity building trainer, researcher, proposal coster, and liaison to USAID, local governments and businesses. Nino understands the cultural, political and economic setting of Eastern Europe/CIS, MENA and Southern Africa having implemented projects in Georgia, Moldova, Kosovo, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and Malawi. She speaks native-level English, Russian, and Georgian.
