Olaokun Soyinka

I am a medical doctor with extensive public health experience. I recently finished a four year term as the Commissioner for Health in Ogun State, Nigeria. Before this I was the Health Promotion Officer at the WHO country office, Abuja. I have strong public health, managerial, and health communication skills developed during a career that has spanned public health, clinical medicine, medical education and health promotion. I also have an MBA degree. I attended medical school in the UK and worked there until I returned to Nigeria in 2002 to pursue a career in public health. I am an industrious and entrepreneurial character with well developed interpersonal skills who enjoys managing teams. My broad range of experience and versatility gives me the ability to function effectively in a wide variety of working environments. My objective is to continue to work in public health in Nigeria.
