Omar Rahaman

I am Canadian, Philippines based and prepared to relocate as required. With more than twenty years of experience in the management of international development and relief projects I am ideally suited for a donor/local program team interlocutor. I have led training, capacity building, private sector and other socio-economic development projects in Nepal, the Philippines, Iraq, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean, Egypt, Thailand, and Canada. Experienced as Regional Director, Chief Technical Advisor, Head of Mission, Team Lead, Project Director. I bring ten years of experience as Project Director of CIDA funded projects in South East and Central Asia, three and seven years of experience as a Training Manager and as a Senior Project Manager with USAID in Iraq and the Caribbean respectively. I hold degrees in Leadership and Training (M.A) and Industrial Engineering (B.Tech.) Professional development in Train-the-Trainer, Sphere, Project Management, International Relations and IFRC’s Basic Training and International Operations.
