Dear sir/madam,
I am pleased to find your advertisement for a Trade & Transport Corridor Advisor as it is a direct match to my experience, knowledge, qualifications and aims to work for Africa.
I am a trade & transport specialist spending almost 30 years serving the trade & transport industry from various positions, working with governments, international organizations & institutions, donor agencies, NGOs and private firms in Europe, the Balkans, Middle East & Asia, formulating policies & legal frameworks, supervising big projects, building institutions, supporting the aims for global development, effective public and private sector growth, elimination of poverty, etc
Most of my studies are in public administration, trade & transport, while my PhD is in Modeling Transport Management. I start my carrier in the transport sector in 1984 working as Station Manager with the Hellenic Railways and in parallel I was studying at the Hellenic University. As years were passing by, trade & transport sector was attracting me more and more and I did my MSc & my PhD in UK, while, in parallel, I was working in the same industry.
Based in Hellas, I worked and traveled a lot, mainly in Europe & the Balkans and the last 5 years in Middle East & Asia. In addition, I was lecturing at several universities and also I participated at several congresses, presenting my academic work & research.
Therefore, with this letter and the attached CV, I would like to express my interest in working with your firm.
Concerning
- Trade & transport policy, management & regulation
- Trade & transport strategic planning, formulation, analysis & implementation
- Investment Planning
- Project management, prioritization, monitoring & evaluation
- Performance Monitoring & Evaluation
- Quality assurance, Quality management
- Performance monitoring & evaluation
- Capacity building & on-job-training
- intergovernmental, European & international relations
is what I do best, throughout my carrier in senior executive positions in the transport sector and I have earned a tracked record of success in managing complex issues and achieving exceptional rather than expected results, being credited with personal contributions to the transport development arena. I am a “doer” who is highly skilled in visualizing and executing a plan and doing whatever it takes to deliver. I am driven by challenge and undaunted for the obstacles – and over the course of my carrier I have fought and won virtually all types of battles.
Thus, what I liked most at my recent job in Afghanistan, working as an Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Public Works for the development of the National Transport & Trade Strategy, Policy & Regulation, are the challenges facing everyday in achieving targets in rather difficult and contradicting conditions, and therefore, I can confidently promise to deliver the same quality of work and results, working with your firm.
I am confident to meet and exceed your expectations as a Trade & Transport Corridor Advisor.
Looking forward for your positive reply
Sincerely yours
Dr.Panagiota Kouri
