Dr López is senior monitoring, evaluation and research expert with over 22 years of experience in international organizations, like DAI Europe, government, consultancy and academia, mainly focusing on economic development research and practice and political economy analysis. She has solid quantitative and qualitative research skills. She can develop robust systems and tools, and process/disaggregate and analyse data. Dr López has conducted extensive programme evaluations and research on various aspects of education behaviour, financial inclusion, poverty and inequality, gender and youth, social capital, education and employment in Latin America, and also on the ability of excluded groups to be incorporated into the labour market in Mexico. Early in her career, Dr López held several senior roles at the Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOL), contributing to the development of key employment and financial education programmes, together with the National Savings and Financial Service
