CAREER SUMMARY For the past 25years, I have been providing senior level executive leadership that has enabled NGOs to deliver impactful, cost-efficient programmes in East and Southern Africa. I have over time acquired skills that enable me to lead diverse teams, deliver highly complex and syndicated programmes, built strategic partnerships and networked globally with likeminded stakeholders. My experience spans policy advocacy, rights based and inclusive programming, in humanitarian and development contexts, with a firm grasp of the nexus approach. I possess a thorough understanding of the most pressing community needs in East and Southern Africa, and believe in the efficacy of integrative and holistic approaches, as an effective way of dealing with community needs, most of which are interconnected. In the latter years, my career interests have focused on social injustices, nurturing opportunities for young people, protecting child and women from abuse, violence and exploitation and building capacity of local actors as key drivers of development.
