Summary

I am a project management practitioner in international development with almost two decades of practical experience in leading and managing diverse, multi-country teams in designing and implementing development projects with a particular focus on agricultural value chains, market competitiveness analysis, climate change adaptation and resilience, agriculture and food systems sustainability development, agricultural technology/innovation dissemination and adoption, rural livelihood, youth employment/entrepreneurship, and social enterprise development. As a visionary leader with extensive experience in climate action, I helped build private sector firms through research, data analytics for an informed decision, systems building, and educating/sensitizing sessions, notably agro-processing companies, seeds companies, and agro-dealers in Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Rwanda. I have also been involved in policy framework design and negotiation, farmer literacy, and pedagogy design. I am a skilled communicator and influencer, capable of engaging effectively with high-level government officials, private sector leaders, and various stakeholders. I am also a published author in top-tier journals covering global food security, sustainable food systems, climate and development, rural sustainable development, and digital agriculture technologies. I have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, building solid relationships with international donors with a successful history of securing and managing grant portfolios to over CAD$25M. I am culturally sensitive and professionally mature, working assiduously to foster a positive and inclusive work environment while motivating and developing my team to achieve clear objectives. I am results-oriented, with a keen eye for detail and pragmatic decision-making skills. My career objective is to play an active role in the new global development agenda, leading to an increase in climate change adaptation, global food security, sustainable food systems, rural livelihood improvement, poverty reduction, private sector development, and promoting women and youth economic empowerment.
