Rachel Clement is a public policy leader with almost a decade of experience in policy development and analysis across a variety of sectors, both within the government and for non-profit organizations. She also has a strong background in gender equality, youth engagement and youth empowerment. Areas of expertise include: legislation, coalition-building, coalition leadership, advocacy capacity building, foreign policy, global health, women's and children's rights, and writing. Her published writings have appeared in The Hill, Devex and Ms. Magazine. In both her professional and volunteer capacities, she demonstrates leadership, passion, and innovation. Ms. Clement is a consensus builder and dedicated team player, as well as a strong believer in creative approaches to solving complex problems. She has represented organizational and civil society priorities to Congress, multiple Administrations, multi-lateral institutions, and has also led capacity building training programs or worked directly with beneficiaries or government stakeholders in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. In her volunteer capacity, she currently serves as President for the CASA for Children of DC's Professionals Council and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster youth. Rachel is originally from Denver, Colorado and is currently based in Washington, D.C.
