Summary

Human rights researcher with long-standing experience in the NGO sector across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Skilled in rights-based research, policy writing, and organizing high-level regional forums to strengthen civic space and address pressing human rights challenges. My work spans Egypt, Tunisia, and the United States, where I have collaborated with civil society organizations, regional networks, think tanks, and international actors. I have authored policy articles and publications on human rights, political transitions, and freedom of association with leading institutions such as the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS), the Atlantic Council, the European Policy Center, and the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy. I also served as editor of Rowaq Arabi, CIHRS’s interdisciplinary journal on democracy and human rights in the MENA region. In 2025, I graduated from Central European University with an MA in Human Rights (Merit). My thesis, which received distinction, examined the EU–Tunisia Memorandum of Understanding and the shrinking civic space for Tunisian civil society supporting migrants. Currently open to opportunities in research, advocacy, policy, or project management, particularly those focused on migration, human rights, or MENA affairs.
