Raju Jhallu Prassad (He / Him)

I am Rajendra Bhatta, known by my pen name Rajju Jhallu Prasad, a journalist, writer, and environmental advocate from Nepal. I currently serve as the Chief Editor of Tourshala.com and work with Diyopost, where I am involved in investigative video journalism and the “Yasai Bela” podcast, focusing on accountability, governance, and socio-environmental issues. In addition, I am a freelance contributor to national platforms such as Onlinekhabar, HimalKhabar, and Sahityapost. My work connects people with critical issues including climate change, biodiversity conservation, environmental justice, and cultural heritage. With over eight years of journalistic experience, I have reported on a wide range of topics from deforestation, pollution, and forest fires to climate finance, agroforestry, soil degradation, and human–wildlife conflict. My environmental reporting includes coverage of international forums such as the 2nd International Dhole Conference organized by IUCN. Alongside journalism, I actively engage in creative writing, producing poetry, short stories, literary reviews, and essays, often drawing inspiration from Nepal’s rich cultural traditions and diverse natural landscapes.
