Rami Ziara (He / Him)

Dr. Ziara holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and a M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from USA. His research focused on agriculture wastewater characterization, innovative treatment technologies and methods for sustainable clean energy recovery from agricultural wastewater. His academic experience includes training of different environmental engineering on wastewater characterization methods, wastewater source characterization and separation, pollution prevention methods and resource reduction techniques. Dr. Ziara also has a wide academic knowledge in water resources, groundwater movement and contaminant fate and transport, environmental management and regulations, environmental impact assessment and hazard planning and mitigation, industrial environmental management, and pollution prevention and control. He is a co-author of a book chapter on innovative wastewater treatment technology and a number of published peer reviewed journal articles. Dr. Ziara’s professional experience includes working with consulting firms in Palestine and USA. It includes participating in planning, designing and supervising a variety of engineering and environmental studies, including wastewater treatment and monitoring, impact assessment, hydraulic engineering, groundwater engineering, project evaluations, solar energy and civil engineering projects. In the US, he has worked on the latest treatment technologies for agricultural wastewater, anaerobic digestion and assessment of agricultural wastewater lagoons and water treatment. In Gaza, he has served as a team leader / project manager, environmental engineer and water/ wastewater in a variety of projects financed by international and multilateral organizations. Dr. Ziara believes that client satisfaction is an essential part of every assignment and strives to foster cooperative environment.
