I am a highly-motivated and independent 26-year-old female Civil and Environmental Engineer aspiring to take on a leading role in humanitarian efforts to deliver principled, accountable, resilient, and context-based strategies whilst placing people’s dignity at the center of everything I do. As a Lebanese-American dual citizen and a frequent world traveler with multi-sectoral experience working in a number of low- and middle-income countries including Lebanon, Ghana, and the Greek island of Lesvos, I learned how to quickly adapt to my surroundings and apply a sensitivity to cultural differences. My fluent proficiency in English, Arabic, and French, and my basic understanding of Spanish, also allowed me to effectively communicate with international teams and communities alike. I recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and an International Development certificate program with a focus on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).
