A community of refugee girls, by refugee girls. RefuSHE serves East Africa’s most vulnerable refugees – orphaned and separated refugee girls in Nairobi, Kenya. The young women in RefuSHE's programs have been separated and orphaned due to war, conflict, violence, and terrorism. RefuSHE's founding principle is that every young woman has the right to flourish. Young refugee women deserve the healing space to learn, grow, and ultimately lead. RefuSHE is that space. We created our comprehensive holistic model to address the unique needs of the young women in our programs. Beyond a one-size-fits-all program, our approach is designed to meet each girl where she is. We are investing in the next generation of leaders and ensuring that they have the skills to succeed.
